Master of Divinity

Overview

The Master of Divinity is considered the professional degree of ministry. It is often the requirement for ministerial employment and serves as the prerequisite for entrance into most doctoral programs.

This program consists of 96 credit hours, with 12 of those credits focused on a chosen concentration in one of the following areas:

  • Biblical Exposition
  • Theology
  • Apologetics
  • Counseling
  • Preaching

Students may tailor their degree to fit specific ministry needs by selecting a concentration. The program places strong emphasis on:

  • Bible (48 credit hours)
  • Theology (18 credit hours)
  • Apologetics (15 credit hours)

Graduates will gain advanced knowledge and skills in theology and biblical exposition, along with the ability to clearly articulate and defend their biblical worldview.

The program culminates in a capstone project, which may include a thesis, ministry project, or comprehensive examination.

Admission Requirements

Admission into the Master of Divinity program requires:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (not required to be in Religion, Bible, or Theology)
  • Completion of the online application
  • Agreement with the doctrinal statement
  • Submission of a personal bio
  • Two references (preferably one pastoral and one academic)
  • Submission of transcripts

Tuition

  • $35.00 non-refundable application fee
  • $150.00 per class
  • $4,835.00 total program cost
  • Books are not included in tuition (estimated at $500.00)
